Finale

It's been a long time since my last blog, and I would like to apologize to my loyal followers (ahahha all 5 of you). Anyway today I completed the final presentation of my Algonquin College career!!!! It went alright, but more importantly it was the last one! I'm not actually sure why I am so happy about this. I don't really mind presentations at all, and to be honest I'd rather do presentations than right lame reports on obsolete case studies.
Funny how that transition took place....back in the day I used to be terrified at the fact I had to do a 3 minute speech in front of my class. Now we're smashing out 20 - 30 minute presentations like it's our jobs (hopefully someday it will be). For this skill set I would like to thank ....the public school system???? hmm that can't be right.
Changing from school to more school.....Fresh Meet 2009 was to me; a huge success. I met some seriously interesting people, and really had a chance to improve my networking skills. The venue was great, although a little toasty, and the company was better. Good luck to transitions class next year. Have fun trying to keep up with the best marketing group to ever come from Algonquin.

Bracket Busted

Yup, you read correctly. My NCAA March Madness bracket has officially been busted. Last night when Villanova decided to beat my #1 pick to take the entire tourny Pittsburgh!!! I shed a tear. Disappointed and quite rattled, I now have to roll my cheering over to my go to squad (UNC), and prepare for the whiplash from all the smack I've been talking about Pitt taking the tourny.

Keen improvement

Another long library session last night. I was only there until around 8:00 pm this time, but at least a solid 6 hours of my life were wasted. I'm not a fan of this level of keenness, but I must admit that once I walk out of that cramped boring room (library), I have the feeling of satisfaction, as a piece of the weight that is the final semester is lifted from my shoulders.
This upcoming week is a busy one for me, 3 more projects to start and finish, not to mention the most anticipated networking event of the year Fresh Meet 2009 (www.freshmeet2009.com). I still need to get business cards, and fix my semi-brutal resume. I sense many sleepless nights in the near future.

Oh ya! and continue to plan my Euro-Trip......but that's another story.

Long Nights

Last night quickly turned to early this morning for this guy. I have decided that being burnt out from all of this repetitive school work is not a good thing. It has made me lazy and irritable. So I have changed my ways! Or at least I'm trying to change them. I have spent all night so far in the Carleton University Library, which just happens to be where I am creating this post. Anyway, like I was saying, my ways are trying to be changed, I have done work on 3 separate projects tonight (that's a big deal for me), and smashed out some serious cold calling for Fresh Meet earlier today after writing an HRM exam. All in all productive day, I'm going to try to keep it going through to the end. Which is only 32 days away, not that anybody is counting.

BBQ Season

Well folks, I am proud to state that I opened BBQ season last night! Yes that's right BBQ. I had a rack of ribs, marinaded with Bulls' Eye Blazin Chipotle (http://www.kraftcanada.com/en/Products/A-C/BullsEyeBarbecueSauce.aspx), which by the way is possibly the best rib sauce going. Anyway, it was a glorious night with the scent of BBQ  18 floors closer to the sun. Although I will have to say that my technique was slightly off. My flip a little sloppy and timing questionable. Luckily I had cold refreshing beer on my side MMMMmmmm.

Happy 50th

This past weekend I returned to Northern Ontario (home town). It was my dad's surprise 50th birthday. Family members from all across Canada were there, and needless to say it was an awesome time. He had no clue what was going on and the entire event went off flawlessly.
Upon my return I decided to visit the bar.....we'll call it the KaGe hahah. Anyway It was extremely weird being there on a "regular weekend". Regular being a weekend without students returning for Christmas, or Thanksgiving. My siblings and I entred into what seemed like a totally different world, knowing only a handful of people in the joint, and receiving equally awkward stares from those who have replaced us as "locals" (I'm sure I'm not the only one to have experienced this). I almost thought I had wandered into a totally new bar (hard to do with only 2 in the town), until I strolled up to the counter and ordered a pitchure of "purple helmet" no glass......SUCCESS!! as the barkeep handed me my dirt cheap pitchure of purple delicious and I took my first "piture sip!!" I knew I was home.

Happy Birthday Pops

Bonjour!!

Bonjour all!
Welcome to Beaupre's Kitchen (head).
I've been hearing nonstop talk about blogging, and I'll have to admit at first I was skeptical (probably still am). But apparently this skill/trend isn't going anywhere except up. So I figured I had better jump on board before I miss the ride.
As for my Kitchen, this blog will be about whatever is going on in my head. Whether it be sports, school, work, fun, or food. LETS DO THIS ha.
Thanks for stopping in.
